Welcome to Dr Menopause
We are a group of Menopause Society accredited practitioners who are also busy perimenopausal/menopausal Mums! Helping women navigate the changes and challenges of menopause and perimenopause has become our passion. It can be a challenging time and it can be difficult to know where to go to receive advice where you feel heard and understood… we understand! Our goal is to help women thrive with evidence-based guidance tailored to each individual.

Maria qualified from Auckland Medical School in 2000. She is a member of The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners having worked in general practice for 18 years. Increasingly helping her patients navigate the challenges of menopause with evidence based up to date advice has become her focus. She has a passion for helping women find balance in their lives and believes that health and wellness is attainable for everyone and can be reached in many varied ways. She is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) having completed advanced training and assessment. Maria is a member of the International Menopause Society, Australasian Menopause Society, British Menopause Society and The Menopause Society.
Maria takes a patient centered approach helping women to pause, reflect on where they are at a changing time in their lives and move forward with all the tools they need to pursue what really matters to them.
She is a busy mum of 3 boys and understands the pressures modern women face. She has a love/hate relationship with golf and enjoys walking her dog and watching her 3 boys play sport.

Originally from the UK, Tracy came to NZ in 2004 for a year, and never returned!
After graduating from The University of Liverpool Medical School in 1995, she undertook specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, where her passion for women’s health was first ignited.
Tracy has been working as a GP since 1999. She has significant experience in consulting with patients ‘virtually’ all over New Zealand in her role as a GP with Health New Zealand. She is also a Forensic Medical Examiner for sexual assault, and runs adolescent health clinics providing holistic care for young people. Tracy is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) having completed advanced training and assessment. She holds Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP UK) and Fellowship of the Royal NZ College of General Practitioners (FRNZCGP). She has a diploma in Family Planning (DFFP).
She fully understands the challenges that women face during these life stages, and appreciates that they value a personalised, unrushed approach to their needs. She is passionate about supporting women through their journey enabling them to feel their best. She aims to provide comprehensive support and evidence-based advice. Her patient-centred approach empowers women to make informed decisions about their own health and well-being.
Tracy is a member of The Australaisan Menopause Society, International Menopause Society, British Menopause Society and The Menopause Society.
When not supporting her patients, you’ll find Tracy in her other role as a ‘mum taxi’ for her two teenage sons. She enjoys cycling, though isn’t too keen on hills as her cycle mates can testify, and walking her greyhound, or simply hanging out with family and friends.

Jenny graduated from Otago Medical School in 2002 & completed her Post-Graduate Diploma in Child Health & Post-Graduate Certificate in Women's Health. She is a fellow of the Royal NZ College of General Practitioners & has been working in General Practice since 2008.
Jenny's special interests in child, adolescent & women's health, including contraceptive & sexual health have naturally led to more focus & training in peri-menopause & menopausal health.
She is a member of the International Menopause Society, Australian Menopause Society, British Menopause Society & The Menopause Society. She is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) having completed advanced training and assessment.
Jenny enjoys working alongside women supporting them though the important and sometimes challenging transition of peri-menopause and menopause. With evidence based advice and support she believes women can be empowered to make choices which are right for them, enabling them to live their best lives.
Outside of medicine, Jenny understands the challenges of work/life balance. She is the Mum of three young, busy girls & enjoys spending time with her family & friends, exploring new places, attempting to keep fit with running & pilates, & relaxing with a great book.
